TRIM-TO-FIT INSTRUCTIONS:

 Trim-to-Fit Instructions:

To size your trim-to-fit belt, simply unclamp the buckle by lifting the tab (or lever) on the back side of the buckle. This will release the belt strap, allowing you to remove it from the clamp pin buckle. See illustration above.

To determine the perfect size, we recommend watching our educational video on belt sizing.  If you are in a hurry and need to size the belt now, then measure your waist through your belt loops using a tape measure.  The resulting number of inches or centimeters* is your belt size.  From the middle hole of your new belt, measure out the number of inches or centimeters of your belt size.  This is the point where you will cut the belt.  If your belt size is 34 inches, there should be this length between the middle hole and the end of the belt where you will make your cut.  Mark the strap and double check your measurements before proceeding.

Use sharp scissors and cut through the belt strap at the marked spot.

Slide the clamp pin buckle onto the cut strap and press the tab firmly into the strap. Once the buckle is clamped into place, your belt is ready to wear!

*An inches to centimeters conversion chart can be found at the bottom of our Sizing Tips page.

How to Measure Your Belt Size

Most of our belts are sized from the Buckle Fold to the Middle Hole. A 36” belt will have a center hole at 36” and two holes on either side of the center spaced 1” apart each. A 36” belt can be worn as small as 34” and as big as 38”.

There are several options to determine your ideal belt size.

The ideal way is to measure your waist through your belt loops. This measurement is the size of belt you should purchase (i.e. if you have a 34” measurement, order a 34” belt).

An alternative option is to measure your old belt from the  Buckle Fold to the Hole you use. If your belt measures 38” from buckle fold to the hole you use most; then order a 38” belt. This will give you a belt with 2 holes either side of the hole you use most.
