Belts are a fashion necessity this school year, causing concern for some students and their parents. Increasing numbers of men, women, and children are reporting intense nickel allergy symptoms resulting from wearing belts made from allergy inducing nickel. Those symptoms most often appear in the form of an itchy, red, sometimes painful rash.

Good news for allergy sufferers, staying in “nickel free style” continues to get easier and more fun! If it has been a few months since you visited the NoNickel.com website, you’re in for a nice surprise. More belts have been added at a variety of price ranges, in sizes from 24” to 60+”, and the new designs and leather options are amazing.

For parents seeking durability and comfort for their nickel allergic children, the Child’s Appalachian Mountain Belt Set is a great selection. These two belts are handcrafted in the USA, using a solid piece of full grain leather. A nickel free buckle is handstitched to the leather to avoid any additional hardware. That buckle has been carefully sourced and tested to assure it will never test positive for allergy-inducing nickel.

Tweens and teens often lean toward the Attitude Combo Belt Set; these black belts have a trendy style including a lot of metal, but are guaranteed to never test positive for nickel. College students may find the Bottle Opener Belts attractive as well as a fun conversation piece. The Rocky River Nickel Free Brown Belt exudes comfort with a unique flair. The black full grain leather used in making the Cold Mountain Nickel Free Black Belt provides the perfect backdrop for the polished gunmetal gray bottle opener buckle. For the artistic set, Black Mountain Nickel Free Belt pairs black on black for a dramatic look.

Teachers heading back to the classroom are ready for a new look, too! Deep River Black Nickel Free Belt fills the need for comfort and versatility as it adapts to a casual or dressier look. The Nickel Free Silver Arch Buckle also pairs nicely with a brown strap for the Stone Mountain Nickel Free Brown Belt, now on sale for a great price! Both of these belts, along with the majority of those offered by NoNickel, are proudly made in the USA and provide great looks along with lasting durability. More importantly, all NoNickel belts come with a Lifetime Guarantee to never test positive for nickel. Teachers will agree: NoNickel is making the grade!

How to Measure Your Belt Size

Most of our belts are sized from the Buckle Fold to the Middle Hole. A 36” belt will have a center hole at 36” and two holes on either side of the center spaced 1” apart each. A 36” belt can be worn as small as 34” and as big as 38”.

There are several options to determine your ideal belt size.

The ideal way is to measure your waist through your belt loops. This measurement is the size of belt you should purchase (i.e. if you have a 34” measurement, order a 34” belt).

An alternative option is to measure your old belt from the  Buckle Fold to the Hole you use. If your belt measures 38” from buckle fold to the hole you use most; then order a 38” belt. This will give you a belt with 2 holes either side of the hole you use most.
